For M&E teams

Reports and dashboards from your data.

With Fidiba, build your questions and collect, online or offline, or bring your Kobo or ODK data. Then get clean data, a live dashboard and the report on schedule.

Your data, however it is collected.

However your data is collected, it lands in a data source that Fidiba cleans, charts and reports on.

Build and collect in Fidiba

Collect with Fidiba

  1. Write the questions, or describe what you need and Fidiba drafts them: choices, numbers, dates, locations, sections and repeat groups.
  2. Share a public link or QR code, send it on WhatsApp, or collect offline on the phones your team already has.
  3. Answers count the moment they are submitted.

Example: each health facility sends its monthly numbers through a link, and the dashboard shows who has not reported yet.

Connect Kobo or ODK

Keep Kobo, get the reports

  1. Paste your KoboToolbox API token, or sign in to ODK Central with a viewer account.
  2. Pick a form. Fidiba makes a data source from it, repeat groups included.
  3. New submissions come in every day or every hour. Nothing is written back.

Example: a programme monitors its distributions on Kobo in four districts and sends partners a monthly PDF without touching Excel.

Import a file

Start from what you have

  1. Drop a CSV, Excel or JSON file, or pick one from Google Drive.
  2. Fidiba suggests a type for each column and finds the odd values.
  3. Save the rows as a new data source, or add them to one you have.

Example: an evaluator imports the baseline spreadsheet so the endline can be compared with it in the same chart.

Collect where there is no signal.

Offline data collection that works the way field teams do: for days without a connection, on shared phones and on paper.

  • Offline on any phone. Collectors add Fidiba from the browser, fill in data with no signal, and everything sends when they are back in range.
  • Named collectors, a PIN each. Collectors need no account and don’t count as users. Several can share one phone, each behind their own PIN.
  • Paper forms from a photo. Photograph a filled paper form and AI fills in a response for you to check and submit.
  • WhatsApp, link or QR code. Send the questions to respondents on WhatsApp on every plan, or share a link.
  • Recordings transcribed. Upload interview and focus group recordings and get transcripts you can code into themes.
  • Collection quality. See submissions per collector per day, submissions finished too fast and likely duplicates, and set them aside without deleting anything.

Reading paper forms and transcribing recordings use AI. An Owner turns each on; transcription is on paid plans.

The figures your report needs, without a data analyst.

Show, split by, filter and compare, in plain words. Every chart can go on a dashboard or into a report.

  • Targets and baselines. Set a target on any figure and see how far you are. Compare this round with the baseline or last period in one click.
  • The standard splits. Disaggregate by sex, age group, location and disability (from the Washington Group questions), one click each.
  • Maps. Put points on a map, or colour districts and villages by any figure.
  • Ask in plain words. “Which district is furthest from its target?” gets a chart you check and keep. Nothing changes until you accept it.
  • A first look, made for you. When the first rows arrive, Fidiba drafts a dashboard and a weekly report for you to keep or change.

Hundreds of open answers, coded into themes.

The answers people write in their own words are often the most useful part of a survey, and the hardest to report on. Fidiba codes them, counts them and quotes them.

  • Themes with reasons. Let AI propose a codebook or write your own. Each coded answer says why, and you check a sample before you trust it.
  • The same codebook next round. Reuse it at midline and endline so the themes compare, and new answers are coded as they arrive.
  • Quotes in the report. A quotes tile puts real words beside the figures, with names, phone numbers and emails masked.

Themes are on paid plans, once an Owner allows AI to read a data source’s written answers. Answers can be translated to English, and the codebook exports to Excel.

Safe with the people who gave it.

Each organisation’s data is kept apart in the database, encrypted in transit and at rest. How we keep it safe

AI sees totals, not people

Counts and grouped totals, never individual responses or personal answers. Written answers only where an Owner turns that on. Your data does not train AI models.

Personal answers stay personal

Mark questions as personal and only the roles you choose can see them, on screen, in exports and in reports.

Yours to take

Export everything, or delete your organisation yourself. Submissions are never edited by cleaning.

Everything between the field and the report.

Collecting data is the easy part. Fidiba does the cleaning, charting and reporting that usually ends up in spreadsheets late at night.

Reports that send themselves

Lay a dashboard out as a report with headings, text and live figures, then email it as PDF or CSV to anyone, every week or month. Each report records which data it used.

Dashboards that stay current

Charts, tables, maps and quotes that update as data arrives, filtered by period, place or group. Share them, publish them by link, or read them on the phone offline.

Clean data, original kept

Fix spellings, dates and duplicates with steps you can undo, which apply to new data too. Every submission stays as collected.

Every data source in one project

Kobo and ODK submissions, imported spreadsheets and Fidiba data sources sit side by side, ready to compare.

Reuse your own projects

Save a project as a template, with its questions, dashboard and report and none of its answers, and start the next one from it.

Partners see dashboards free

Give partners and managers access to dashboards on every plan. Only the people who build count, and Free includes three of them.

Made for the people who write the report.

M&E officers and managers

Stop rebuilding the same Excel every month. Figures, dashboards and reports update as the field team submits.

Evaluation consultants

Keep each client in its own project, deliver a live dashboard instead of a static file, and compare baseline with endline.

NGOs and programmes

Every project with its own locations, periods and people, and partners who follow the results without an account.

What M&E teams ask before they start.

All questions

Do we have to stop using Kobo or ODK?

No. Keep collecting the way you do now. Fidiba only reads your submissions. Nothing is written back to KoboToolbox or ODK Central, and photos and other files stay on your server.

What does the report look like?

It is one of your dashboards laid out as a report: headings, text with live figures, charts, tables, maps and your own images. Fidiba emails it as a PDF, with CSV files of the figures if you want them, every week or month. Paid plans leave out the Fidiba credit.

Do our numbers change when we clean the data?

Submitted data is never edited. Cleaning steps apply to the data used for analysis and to new submissions as they arrive, the original stays beside it, and removing a step undoes it everywhere.

How fresh is the data?

Kobo and ODK data sources refresh every day by default, or every hour if you choose, and Refresh brings in new submissions whenever you want. Data collected in Fidiba counts as soon as it is submitted.

Can we collect data in Fidiba?

Yes. Build a data source with choices, numbers, dates, locations and free text, sections, conditions and repeat groups, then share a link or QR code, or send it on WhatsApp. People answer on their phone without an account.

Who can see the results?

Only the people you invite, with the role you give them. Partners can follow a dashboard as free dashboard viewers, or through a public link you publish.

What does it cost?

Free covers a small programme for up to three users, WhatsApp invitations included, and needs no card. Paid plans add more projects, dashboards, scheduled reports and WhatsApp invitations. Dashboard viewers are free on every plan.

Your next report, already done.

Start free with 3 projects, 3 dashboards in each, 1 scheduled report and 3 users. Dashboard viewers are free on every plan.
